The Quality Commission of the Department of Accounting and Taxation held its first meeting of the 2026-2027 academic year online via ASÜM on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at 11:00. The meeting was chaired by the Commission Chair, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet YÜCENURŞEN, with the participation of commission members Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet BAYRAKTAR and Lecturer Reyhan YILMAZ.
The following items were discussed and resolved at the meeting:
- Unit Quality Policy: The policy was reviewed in line with the principle that it is revisited at the beginning of each academic year. Having been found consistent with the University’s quality assurance system and strategic objectives, it was decided that the policy would be maintained in its current form.
- 2026-2027 Department Quality Action Plan: The action plan, prepared on the basis of the areas for improvement identified in the 2024 Unit Self-Evaluation Report, was adopted. The plan sets concrete targets in the areas of leadership, governance and quality; education and training; research and development; and social contribution. Its progress will be monitored by the commission at the end of each semester.
- 2026 Unit Self-Evaluation Report (BÖDR): The division of work for preparing the report was determined and a work schedule was set.
The meeting also addressed ways to increase participation in student feedback surveys and the contribution of the renewed department website to the transparency of quality processes. The commission’s decisions will be submitted to the Department Board for approval.
